They discover that the Empire has constructed a second Death Star, orbiting the forest moon of Endor. To destroy it, the Rebels must deactivate the shield generator on the moon’s surface.

Aboard the Death Star, Luke resists the Emperor’s temptation to embrace the dark side. When the Emperor tortures Luke, Vader turns against his master, killing him to save his son — at the cost of his own life.
With the Death Star destroyed and the Emperor defeated, the galaxy celebrates the fall of the Empire and the victory of the Rebellion.
